I woke up today to the news that Missing Kylie was number one on Amazon’s Movers & Shakers list! Unreal. I realize this was caused by the childhood cancer community and our friends who went out and bought it on release day. I am grateful for all of them.
It is #4 in its category. Will someone please go buy Mere Christianity from my friend and new contemporary C.S. Lewis? I’m feeling a little bad that we breezed past him.
In all seriousness, this is very exciting. I know this momentum isn’t sustainable, but what a great start. My hope with the book has been to get noticed outside the childhood cancer community and reach a new audience with the message they need to hear. Hopefully some ratings will come in soon and keep it relevant in the Amazon metrics. You never know. I do know that if I stay silent nothing changes.
Thanks to all who have taken the plunge thus far! There is still time before Aslan and my pal, C.S. come nipping at our heels:
EXCELLENT – Congratulations Mark 😀
Thank you. And thanks for your help in promoting it.
My pleasure Mark 👍😃
This is awesome and much deserved, Mark!
Thank you Amanda.
Hi I am 15 years old, my dream career is to become a Pediatric oncology nurse. I know i still have so much education ahead of me but I know I can do it.
That is so fantastic. Nurses are so special and the kids need good ones. Keep pushing, Taylor.
Exciting, and I’ve ordered a copy for myself! 🙂

Thank you, Sheila. Hopefully there is some good to make out of the bad.
I know your book will touch many people. I have a niece, in her early forties, that has been fighting this terrible disease for nearly six years. The doctors had given her 5-6. She is one of the bravest women I know. I can’t imagine what you and your family have gone through, but I believe something your book will touch many. Best to you.
You continue to amaze and inspire me!
I’m hotlinking to this post on Monday. We must spread your beautiful words!!
Oh, thanks Michelle. I’m excited to hear about people meeting her through the book.
This is a belated comment, but well done, Mark.
Kylie would be pleased as punch.
Thank you. It’s been a good ride.
